The fifth and final pop video filmed over the course of just one day with director Stewart Lee and a small, flexible film crew for Comedy Cuts, a showcase for new comedy talent on ITV2. Stew was full of great ideas all day but freely admitted by the time we got to this one, at about 9 in the evening, he just wanted to go home. So we set up in the kitchen at the back of the Comedy Cuts office (somewhere halfway up the side of the London Studios) and just filmed me throwing myself about a bit and pulling all my best punk faces. The result is quite brilliant, buzzing with exactly the right energy it needs. Like all the others, it was cut to ribbons in the actual broadcast, but this is Mr Lee’s preferred edit, and it shines.
