The final song of five filmed at the Clapham Grand for The World Stands Up, a stand-up show for Paramount Comedy Channel. As I already explained here, I had to put up with quite a bit of heckling throughout the performance but didn’t feel empowered to do anything about it. So it felt like I was under assault for the whole set, but I was so used to it by then that I didn’t really let it get in the way and ploughed on regardless. I remember one of the crew, who had somehow lost her voice, approaching me afterwards and trying to mime that she thought I had big balls. I also remember thinking it would have taken bigger balls to defy the producers and take the hecklers on. But in retrospect, I’m glad I kept my cool.
