The first of five pop videos filmed on October 16, 2006, with director Stewart Lee and a small crew, for the ITV2 show Comedy Cuts. I was a bit disillusioned with Le Strange at the time and had no idea what I what I wanted to do with him, so the setting and shots are all Stewart’s idea, with me providing the costumes. We then gathered at the car park on Brewer Street in Soho and went out filming around Walker’s Court and Soho Square. Of the three videos we completed, this is easily my favourite, and ITV obviously felt the same, using it to promote the series when it launched by uploading it to YouTube - then still a new site. The same respect wasn’t accorded to it in the TV version, which was strewn throughout the episode in 30-second segments.
