This is it. The big one. I knew when I made Chromium Dockyard that, if I wanted to do it right, eventually I would have to make a video for The Bean Factory. But at nine minutes, with a whopping great psychedelic sci-fi tale baked into the second half, it was always going to be a challenge. Fortunately, Thom Tuck asked me to perform the song at the ACMS and that was the spur I needed to persuade myself to do it. I made the video over ten weeks, filming Gary at home in April 2026 with my wife Katy and making the rest with AI, then incorporated it into Gary’s first live performance after a ten year gap at the Phoenix on May 11th. The stress nearly killed me and I doubt I’ll ever put this much effort into a video again. But it was worth it, right?
