The third of three ‘visualisers’ which I’ve decided to reframe as a ‘videoiser’, since it’s halfway between a visualiser and a fully-fledged video. As with Paris and Blackdown, it’s entirely based on a still image, though this time the result is a lot more extravagant as I finally got carried away by the newly-minted possibilities of generative AI. Every scene you see here is a short computer-generated film based on a picture of me and Mary the Mannequin (last seen in I am a Video). I realise that means I’m likely to be assassinated by an anti-AI zealot but I suppose it’s good to feel passionate about something. At one point, I wondered if it might have been easier just to film it in real life, but there’s no way that would have been anywhere near as much fun.
