My first attempt at a word search puzzle (that’s right - it isn’t the last) isn’t particularly great.
There are only four words to seek and it didn’t take me long to find them all just now. The
word ‘Topic’ especially, which sticks out like a sore thumb in squares which appear to be
bigger than the others.
I’ve obviously tried to make it neat, at least to start with, using an actual ruler to make at
least some of the lines straight. Which is beyond the call of duty really, since most word
searches don’t usually use a grid with lines and squares. But I’m glad mine does, because
otherwise it would be complete chaos.
Already I’m self-mythologising about Topic, as if everything in it is my own intellectual
property. Just like the Marvel Comics word searches it was inspired by (examples below), the
words we’re searching for pertain to the fictional universe I’m creating in my Topic book. So
Electro and Judge Dredd are now, in my head, a part of the Waen Shepherd Topic universe. It
probably would have been better if I’d gone for Optical Illusions and Captain Carnivore, but
maybe that would have been a bit ambitious for my first go.
